Acts
of generousity are woven thoughout the Bible. We are asked by
God to give our hearts, our time, and our possessions. Generous
giving helps each of us to grow spiritually as it nurtures growth
in our church. Give what you can, and give it cheerfully, knowing
that your generous pledge will be put to work helping. St. John's
sustain its parish and ministries.
Remember
this- - a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small
crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop.
Youmust decide in your heart how much to give. And don't give
reluctantly or in response to pressure. "Foe God loves a
person who gives cheerfully. And God will generously provide all
you need."
2 Corinthians 9:6 |
Christian Giving is a way in which we can express the gratitude
that we have for the many blessings in our lives. When we
joyfully give what we can, we all share in the bounty of God.
I
have found that among its other benefits, giving liberates
the soul of the giver.
