Stewarship

Give generously to him and do so without a grudging heart: then because of this the Lord your God will bless you and all work and in everything you put your hand to.

Deuteronomy 15:10

Acts of generousity are woven thoughout the Bible. We are asked by God to give our hearts, our time, and our possessions. Generous giving helps each of us to grow spiritually as it nurtures growth in our church. Give what you can, and give it cheerfully, knowing that your generous pledge will be put to work helping. St. John's sustain its parish and ministries.

Remember this- - a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. Youmust decide in your heart how much to give. And don't give reluctantly or in response to pressure. "Foe God loves a person who gives cheerfully. And God will generously provide all you need."
2 Corinthians 9:6

Christian Giving is a way in which we can express the gratitude that we have for the many blessings in our lives. When we joyfully give what we can, we all share in the bounty of God.

I have found that among its other benefits, giving liberates the soul of the giver.
-Maya Angelou

Please be thoughtful and prayerful when considering your financial pledge to St. John's Episcopal Church for 2011. We believe that giving is our financial responsibility to one another and to future generations. This year each of the Vestry members is serving as a steward of The Giving Campaign. Each Vestry member has made a financial pledge to St. John's for 2011 and welcomes the opportunity to talk with you during this season of transition. We invite you to submit your pledge by returning your pledge card or by pledging online.

Respectfully Your,

Generations of Generosity
