2017 HOLY MOLY! Vacation Bible School
Servant Leaders: David, Esther, and Jesus

We are so excited about the upcoming Vacation Bible School at St. John’s!

The program will run Tuesday-Thursday, August 1st-3rd, from 5-8 p.m.
Each evening will include games, dinner, lessons from the Bible, craft time, and worship.

Please REGISTER HERE so that we can plan enough food, materials, and staff.
There is no cost for this year's Vacation Bible School!

Fun

Each evening will include some time to just hang out and play.  We have a great group of children and youth at St. John’s and they enjoy being together.  We'll give them the time and space to do just that.

The Bible

This year's theme is servant leadership. We will learn about the way God calls us to serve through the stories of King David, Queen Esther, and Jesus. Each lesson includes a brief, funny video and reading, discussion time, and a craft.  After supper each evening, the kids will be divided by age for the lesson time.  We are confident that your children and youth are going to love this program.

Worship

Our children and youth are very comfortable in church.  They are at ease in all parts of the building and seem to be very much at home.  We are so happy about this, and, as parents, we should feel good about fostering this comfort in our children and youth.  However, worship in the Episcopal Church is not always easily accessible.  So, we are going to teach our children and youth how we worship.  Michael Bennett, St. John's Director of Music, will teach some of our worship music. During Bible School, we will walk through the worship service with the children and youth each evening, inviting them into our regular worship.

Parents, grandparents, and friends are invited to join us for worship each night at 7:30 pm.

The Sacristy Rats (Acolytes in Training)

Those kids in the older classroom will join Bradley as a SACRISTY RAT (or Acolyte in Training).  Along with a fun, age-appropriate Bible lesson, we will learn how to setup for and lead worship.  We'll also learn how to teach the younger kids about the Episcopal Church and St. John's many traditions.

We are really looking forward to this Vacation Bible School.  Please feel free to invite friends by forwarding this information.  As always, feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns.

In Christ,
