Weekday Worship

The Chapel of the Resurrection, located just inside the building at the Memorial Garden entrance, is open for private prayer and meditation every weekday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. It is a special space in which to enjoy the quiet presence of Christ or the simple beauty of the garden plantings, as you offer your personal prayers or just “sit a spell”.

We celebrate Holy Eucharist in the chapel on Tuesdays at 7:00 am and again on Thursdays at 11:45 am. These are simple services lasting about 30 minutes.

We read Evening Prayer in the chapel on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 5:30 p.m. These services last about 15 minutes and are led by laypersons. They have as their purpose the simple and regular praise of God. We read scripture and share in the recitation of psalms according to a church-wide schedule of readings, knowing that we do this in concert with others doing the same thing throughout the world. We include prayer for the church and the world and particular parish concerns, as well as other needs for which our prayers have been requested.
